Raven struggled against the vines that rose from the ground and caught him. He struggled, continued to tear at the vines when she caught him and ran past. Eventually he got free, stumbling forward. The male gave a competitive growl as he went racing after her.
“Now that just ain’t fair!” He pulled out his hidden bow and snapped it open. He manoeuvred around many corners and peeked around about his third one. He managed to maze his way in front of the woman instead of beside her. A playful little smirk hit his face, “C’mere.” He mumbled and set off a little arrow that turned into a purple-snake looking thing heading for her. He hoped it would scare her enough for him to catch her off guard.
As she dashed, she realized that the ground before her was almost glowing. Something purple was slithering across the ground.
A snake? She wondered. No… an arte. Somehow he got in front of me, that sneak. Leaping up against the wall, she dodged the purple snake and pressed forward. He was there. She knew he was, and she wasn’t about to get caught. Not yet. Landing on the ground again, she pulled a necklace off her neck and pushed some mana into it. In a flare of light, a full sized glaive appeared. Grasping it in both hands, she muttered another, quicker spell. Then, launching herself into air again, she brought the two foot blade down and into the earth, right at Raven’s feet. “Crushing Spear!”
